The Board of Directors has appointed Thomas Gaengler as Chief Operating Officer and member of the Executive Committee, effective September 1, 2026 succeeding Clemens Woehrle.
Thomas Gaengler joins Barry Callebaut from Mondelez International and brings more than 30 years of international leadership experience across supply chain, procurement and operations. More recently, he served as SVP, End-to-End Supply Chain, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa (AMEA) where he worked closely with regional business units to drive alignment, strengthen collaboration and deliver impact. For the last four years, Thomas led Mondelez’ Procurement as Global Chief Procurement Officer.
Thomas holds a master’s degree in chemical and food engineering from the Technical University Brno, Czech Republic.
