Whilst the pandemic prevented UK suppliers from meeting with potential new customers at this year’s ISM, UK pavilion organisers PS8 are providing a solution to UK exporters to meet with international distributors.

Working together with the Food & Drink Exporters Association (FDEA), the team are organising a three-day virtual event – Export Connections. It will focus on the sweets, biscuits, snacks and hot beverages sectors.

The event offers great opportunities to meet with international distributors, to learn through an excellent programme of presentations and round tables, and to connect with export experts including logistic and in-market experts.

FDEA Director, Sandra Sullivan, commented: “This is the second time we have run this kind of event having received such strong positive feedback from our first in December. We are keen to ensure that UK brands stay uppermost in the minds of distributors whilst trade shows are not possible and to offer the insights on international markets that will inspire brands to build their international business.

“UK companies taking part are an exciting mix of established and challenger brands, including innovative, vegan and free from ranges. We already have over 50 companies including Thorntons, Whittard of Chelsea, Whitworths, Indie Bay Snacks, Joe & Sephs, Teapigs, Rococo, Squirrel Sister Snacks and many more.”

There is still time for UK suppliers to book their place and for anyone looking for new brands from the UK to register on the event portal. Export Connections will take place 16-18 March 2021.
