WALTERWERK KIEL will introduce its new MIC series for Micro Cone production at interpack 2026, enabling efficient, low-waste manufacturing of small filled cones with higher precision, flexibilityand increased output capacity.

WALTERWERK KIEL – specialised in the manufacture of rolled sugar cones – spotted a new trend in wafer baking: Micro Cones with chocolate filling.

Until now the production of these small cones causes a lot of waste since bigger cones are cut. This also causes an irregular broken upper part of the cone with consequential wafer dust in the packaging. With the new MIC series, WALTER provides a Micro Cone line for products down to 35mm with a precise rim or broken rim depending on the customers preferences. Both can be produced with the same machine.

As the specialist in sugar cone production the German manufacturer can now deliver the most economic technical solution for the industrial manufacturing of these very trendy products. The JUPITER MIC series can provide capacities from 7,920 pcs/h to 19,440 pcs/hour. The WALTER development department put a lot of effort in order to optimise the different components like the batter pump and the rolling unit for such tiny products with a save transfer to the cooling components.

Now just in time for the interpack exhibition, the machine is tested and ready for the market.

WALTER will present their new developments at their booth E73 in hall 3.

In addition to the Micro Cone series MIC, innovations in robotics and new product developments such as high-protein chips will also be showcased at the booth … and of course there will be ice cream!
