Yakult has announced the latest addition to its lineup of fermented milk drinks: Yakult Plus Peach. Set to hit the shelves on September 1, 2024, the new drink boasts a refreshing peach flavour that promises to delight consumers’ taste buds.
Each bottle of Yakult Plus Peach is packed with billions of the beneficial L. casei Shirota bacteria, which are scientifically proven to survive the journey to the gut and support a healthy gut microbiome. The drink is also enriched with vitamin C, known for boosting immunity and reducing fatigue, as well as fiber to nourish gut bacteria.
The new offering is fat-free, gluten-free, suitable for vegetarians, and features fewer calories and less sugar, catering to health-conscious consumers. It will be available in an 8 x 65ml bottle pack, designed to be both convenient and eco-friendly, with its recyclable peach-colored cardboard packaging.
To promote the launch of Yakult Plus Peach, the company has planned a comprehensive marketing campaign including BVOD, social media, influencer partnerships, and public relations activities starting in August. This campaign aims to inspire consumers to incorporate the drink into their daily wellness routines.
Hiroaki Yoshimura, Managing Director for Yakult UK & Ireland, commented on the launch: “At Yakult, we are committed to enhancing the health and happiness of our customers through scientifically-backed products that also taste great. Our new Yakult Plus Peach reflects our dedication to flavour innovation and our understanding of its importance in driving consumer choices. We believe this new product will be a delightful addition to daily routines.”
Yakult Plus Peach will be available starting September 1st on Ocado.com and at independent retailers across the UK, with a recommended retail price of £3.70, though prices may vary by retailer.
